Sept 19 - Oct 31 layouts

ISept 19 - we went ice skating as a family

My parents came in October for a short but much needed visit.

While my parents were here we went to a local pumpkin patch. It was so much fun and perfectly Autumn day.

The weekend of Halloween we carved pumpkins. Nate bought a carving kit with stencils. Emily picked the cat sitting under the moon. Nate picked a scary pumpin face (easier to carve, I think) and I picked a cute face for my little pumpkin. This was our second time doing this as a family. It's sure to be a family tradition.

On Sunday it was Halloween. Emily of course wanted to be Elsa which was perfect because we had all the pretties. The best part was she got to wear her Elsa heels outside. Something I never let her do.

I loved these layouts and my snippets from Elllestudio made it super easy to embellish. You can shop these looks at www.shopellestudio.com. Each month she releases a monthly kit with coordinating print files and stamp. It's my favorite scrapbooking site becasue she has everything you need for a great layout without all the fus. My goal this month was to use more stamps with these layouts. Ellestudio stamps are now my favorite.

These are the two stamp sets I used in these layouts.

My challenge for next time is to make my own labels.

Winter Wreath

Emily and I made this little cutie today from scraps from my craft room and a whole bag of cotton balls. Yes, a whole bag.

I especially love the cut-outs Emily did. It doesn't get any more original than that.

We love it!!!!

Now time for some fun in the snow.

I'm a bad blogger

I really don't blog, vlog, or keep up with my website very well. Maybe it's my ADDish behavior, but honestly I just don't find the excitement like I do twitter and Instagram so please, please, please follow me there. You'll get a lot prettier content that I hope is inspiring.

My new health kick

While on summer vacation my mother introduced to the 17 day diet. She has used this method in the past to slim down and I've seen it's effectiveness. I did a horrible job of watching what I are this summer and I put on the pounds. Seeing pictures from out vacation made me sad. Even though no one has told me I had, I know so it encouraged me to do something about it.

So what is the 17 day diet? The 17 Day Diet was created by Dr. Mike Moreno and it's become the #1 best selling diet in America. Dr. Moreno describes it as, "Simple. Fast. Effective. Healthy". All words I like to hear. To kick start my plan I purchases his new book.

This edition was published in 2014 with the original edition in 2010. It came in the mail on Friday and I had it read and notes taken in less than an hour. I couldn't put it down. It was so easy to read and Dr. Moreno knows how to write to his audience. He even says in the book that he won't bore us with heavy medical terms which I am very thankful for.

So this week I am embarking on a journey I've never been down before. A full on diet to get me back in shape and back to be healthy. I am excited.

Psalms 17:5

We've been learning a lot from our experiences lately and God is telling us that we always need him, all the time. When we are happy, sad, angry, or content.

I snapped this picture while we played at the park and God gently reminded me of what he's been teaching us. A beautiful, real life reminder. I wanted to share his word with my fiends so I edited it on my phone with the PicsArt app for iPhone.

I hope and pray Gods word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your world. Amen.
